Roger C. Husted, M.D.
Roger Clark Husted, M.D. has been practicing on the Monterey Peninsula since 1975, where he served as Chief of Ophthalmology at the Silas B. Hays Army Community Hospital until 1990. He then entered private practice in 1991 and expanded to the Salinas facility in 1998. Dr. Husted is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Husted also holds academic appointments as an Associate Clinical Professor at California Pacific Medical Center, where he has taught young doctors since 1979. Dr. Husted is also an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Husted received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 1970. He completed his rotating internship, as well as residencies in pathology and ophthalmology at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. In addition to his required training, Dr. Husted also completed a fellowship in diseases of the retina through the Pacific Medical Center.
As an active member of the ophthalmology community, Dr. Husted is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Ophthalmology and the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. His work has also appeared several publications throughout his practice history.
Leland H. Rosenblum, M.D.
Leland H. Rosenblum, MD has been practicing Ophthalmology in Monterey County since 1994. A third generation physician and San Francisco native, Dr. Rosenblum graduated magna cum laude from Brown University. He completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco and received his specialty training in ophthalmology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He is passionate about helping people with eye disease and improving vision.
Dr. Rosenblum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and serves on the Board of Directors for the California Academy of Ophthalmology. His clinical interests include small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, refractive surgery, and oculoplastic surgery. He was the first ophthalmologist in Monterey County to implant the ReSTORĀ® intraocular lens. In 2008 he was voted best ophthalmologist by the Carmel Pinecone readers.

Leland Rosenblum, MD is on active medical staff at both Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and at Natividad Medical Center. He sees patients at two state of the art vision facilities: Monterey Bay Eye Center at 880 Cass Street, Suite 105 Ryan Ranch, Monterey and Leland H. Philip J. Penrose, M.D.
Philip J. Penrose, M.D. specializes in the newest techniques in cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK. His other clinical interests include the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and diabetes. Dr. Penrose received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University and attended medical school at the University of Colorado. He then completed his specialty training in ophthalmology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
Dr. Penrose is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has an academic affiliation with California Pacific Medical Center training ophthalmology residents in the principles and techniques of ophthalmic surgery.
Bilingual in Spanish, he has a specific interest in international service and recently spent time in an under served area of Guatemala performing cataract surgeries. Dr. Penrose believes that such philanthropic ventures are important to spreading the prosperity and opportunity available in America to those in less fortunate areas.
