With this in mind, do not let worries about the cholesterol content in the eggs steer you away from eating them as part of your diet.

Berries

Finally, another set of foods that is great for anyone looking to fill their body with vitamins that benefit the eyes are berries. There are many different types of berries, all of which have different vitamins that benefit the body. Blueberries are commonly known as a super food, both due to their high vitamin content and their antioxidants that they offer the body. Like with carrots it is important to know that blueberries are best bought if they are organic, and will be well worth the extra investment in the long run.

Another set of berries that are great for the eyes are blackberries. The unique aspect of blackberries is that they have seeds on the outside of the berry unlike many other fruits and vegetables. Blackberries do not have as many antioxidants as the blueberries, but they have unique vitamins and minerals that other berries do not.

Overall, eating for health is one of the most important decisions that anyone can make in their lives. As people age, they tend to lose eye sight over time. However, by taking these steps and adding the listed foods to an overall balanced diet, you can slow the aging process on the eyes.
